Benefits and Debt Advice

Advice Works

is a service managed by the Social Work department which provides information and advice to Renfrewshire residents on all issues regarding state benefits and debts. We are a free, confidential and independent service and will give you advice in a straightforward manner. A home visiting service is available for those who are housebound or unable to come into the office.

Outreach Work

We also participate in one off events to publicise the work of the service. You can contact your local Advice Works office for more information.

Campaigns

Advice Works organise campaigns on a range of issues which are often centred around particular groups, for example, carers, disabled, pensioners or to inform residents of changes in legislation.

Training

Our staff provide training on money advice and welfare benefits to local voluntary and community groups.

Talks

Our staff can provide a talk to local groups on a range of benefits or on general money advice.

If your group is interested in a training course or talk, contact your local Advice Works office.
