Neighbourhood Warden Service
A key element of the effectiveness of the Neighbourhood Wardens is simply their prescence, which can act both as a detterant to crime/antisocial behaviour, and as a reassurance to vunerable residents. They can act as a first point of contact between residents and the other services such as the police, other Housing Providers, our specialist Anti-social Investigations Team (ASIST) and so on.
As a result of crime analysis, joint discussions with our Community Safety agencies and calls to our anti-social helpline, we have deployed of team of wardens into your area for a short period of time. Information passed to us will be treated in the strictest confidence (no wardens will visit you at your home if that is your wish.) Only by working together can we tackle disorder and make your community a safer place to live in. Help us to help you.
Renfrewshire council are committed to tackling anti-social behaviour. The neighbourhood Wardens Service has been successfully operating since 2002 and now covers 1 areas in Renfrewshire. By working in partnership with other agencies we aim to:
* Reduce the fear of crime
* Takle minor complaints of antisocial behaviour
* Monitor and report to partners
* Reassure vulnerable tenants and residents
The Neigbourhood Wardens can be contacted on 0141 889 3499. They patrol from 3pm until midnight every day of the week. Calls can also be made to the freephone ASB Helpline
