News from the Youth Clubs

The youth club is open on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s.  Between 5.00 pm and 8.45 pm.

Primary age young people from aged 8 can attend the club from 5.00 to 6.45 pm.

Anyone in 1st year and above can attend from 7.00 to 8.45 pm., the cost per night is 50p,

Activities include pool, arts and crafts, use our x-box 360 and access the Internet.  On a Friday night we have access to the large hall that we can use for a variety of sports and dancing.

The youth club is run by youth workers and volunteers.  We are always looking for ideas and suggestions for things we can do in the youth club.  Sometimes we go on trips.  Recently the Primary group enjoyed a trip to Laser Quest and the Secondary group enjoyed a trip to Soccer Circus at Xscape.

We are currently in the process of setting up a Youth Committee.  Once it is up and running the members will have a greater say in what happens in the youth club.

All you have to do to become a member of the youth club is turn up at the times above.  We will give you a permission form on your first night and you can return it the next time you come.

If you would like more information or anyone (parents or young people) would like to speak to a youth worker then please telephone the centre on the number given.

We might not always be around but if you leave a message we will call you back.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Alan Stevenson, Youth Leader, Johnstone Castle Learning Centre
